My husband travels frequently for business. When he was given a two-week assignment in Texas, I decided to go with him, so we booked a flight and found a hotel in Arlington, TX. I really had no idea what to do in Arlington, so I did some exploring while he was at work. These are some of the attractions I discovered. I love amusement parks, so I was thrilled to learn that there was a Six Flags in Arlington.
I spent one whole day there. There is also a Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park, which I didn't go to but looked like a lot of fun. Another day I decided to go to a ball game. The Ameriquest Field, home of the Texas Rangers, was a phenomenal place to watch some ball. After the game, I discovered the Legends of the Game Baseball Museum built into the ballpark. I come from a family of baseball fans, so I had a great time perusing the famous memorabilia. And my parents certainly enjoyed the souvenirs I picked up for them.
If you go during football season, you might want to watch a game at the Cowboys Stadium, also in Arlington. Another day I had a wonderful time at River Legacy Park. I did some hikes and packed a picnic lunch. I also took lots of pictures of the beautiful plants and animals. I spent one afternoon at the Arlington Museum of Art and one evening at the Arlington Theater. The rest of my trip was divided among the spas, boutiques, and golf courses. I had a great time, while my poor husband suffered through meetings. If you ever visit Arlington, you'll find there are plenty of fun things to do.
